# Free, Starter, and Pro

> What each Mumble Note plan includes: voice minutes, recording length, AI actions, chat, and the 7-day Pro trial.

Mumble Note has three plans. Free is for finding out whether it fits how you think. Starter and Pro are monthly or annual subscriptions bought through the App Store, and the annual option is discounted. Current prices are shown in the app and on the App Store listing in your local currency.

**Advanced AI tools** are the actions that rewrite a note after it exists: switching to another format, generating a new output such as an email or a task list, and translating. Recording and the first write-up of a note never count against this allowance. [Note formats](/note/note-formats)

## The 7-day Pro trial

Pro starts with a 7-day free trial for new subscribers. Tap **Start 7-day free trial on Pro** on the plans page. Apple charges the first payment when the trial ends unless you cancel at least 24 hours before, and a cancelled trial keeps Pro until the 7 days are up. Starter has no trial.

## Where to see your usage

Open **Settings**. The card at the top shows voice minutes, AI tools, and chats used this month against your plan. Monthly allowances reset on the first day of each month.

## What happens at a limit

Nothing you recorded is lost. When a recording reaches the per-note limit it is submitted as it is. When you run out of voice minutes or AI tools, Mumble says so and offers the upgrade; text notes keep working. [Troubleshooting](/note/troubleshooting#i-hit-a-limit)
