# Privacy and your data

> Where Mumble Note keeps your recordings and notes, what the AI sees, and how to delete your data.

Mumble Note is a cloud app: your recordings are written up by AI models on Mumble’s servers, and your notes live in your account so they are on every device you sign in on. This page explains what that means in practice. The full [privacy policy](https://www.mumblenote.com/privacy-policy) and [terms of service](https://www.mumblenote.com/terms-of-service) are the legal versions.

## Where your data lives

* **Recordings** are saved on your iPhone as you speak, then uploaded to Mumble to be transcribed. Mumble keeps the audio with the note so you can play it back later and so a failed write-up can be retried.
* **Notes, to-dos, and chats** are stored in your account on Mumble’s servers in the United States, and cached on your phone.
* **Photos** you add to a note are uploaded with it.

Nothing is shared with other people unless you share a note yourself.

## What the AI sees

Mumble uses third-party AI models to transcribe audio, write notes, read photos, and answer in chat. They receive the content needed for that job, and nothing else about you. Your notes are not sold, and the Google data Mumble accesses for the calendar and tasks integrations is never used to train AI models.

## Integrations

Connecting Apple Reminders, Apple Calendar, Google, Things, or WhatsApp sends only the to-dos and events Mumble creates for you to those apps. Disconnect any of them in **Settings > App Integrations**. [App integrations](/note/integrations)

## Deleting your data

* Delete a single note, to-do, or chat from within the app.
* Delete everything by deleting your account under **Settings > Edit Profile > Delete Account**. This is permanent. [Your account](/note/account)
