A follow-up is a second recording that lands in the same note. Use it when a thought continues, when a meeting reconvenes, or when you want to add the outcome to yesterday’s plan.

Add one

  1. Open the note.
  2. Tap the microphone button at the left of the bottom bar. A panel titled Add a Follow-up Note opens and starts recording immediately.
  3. Talk, then tap send.
Mumble writes up the new part in the note’s default format and appends it below the existing text, separated by the date and time. The transcript and audio player get the new recording too. Closing the panel before sending asks Discard Audio? so you do not lose a recording by accident.

Things to know

  • Follow-up minutes count toward your monthly voice allowance like any other recording.
  • If the write-up fails, the note shows Retry Follow-up. Your audio is kept on the phone until it succeeds. Troubleshooting
