A note is written once, but its shape is not fixed. This page covers the three things you can do to a note after it exists. They count as advanced AI tools on your plan: 3 a month on Free, 30 on Starter, unlimited on Pro. Compare plans

Formats

Every note has one of three formats:
  • Bullet Points, the default: the key points as a list.
  • Paragraphs: flowing prose.
  • Dictation: your own words, cleaned up but not rewritten.
To switch, tap the format pill under the note title and pick another. Notes recorded recently switch instantly. Older notes, typed notes, and photo-only notes are rewritten on the spot; editing is locked until Formatted as … appears, and if it fails the previous version comes back. To change the default for new notes, open the Format row in the recorder, pick a format, and tap Set Default.

Outputs

An output is a new document generated from the note, kept as its own tab on that note. Tap + output on the note and pick one or more:
  • decision & follow-up
  • brainstorming
  • task breakdown
  • email
  • message
  • tweet
  • short summary
  • key points
  • custom, where you describe what you want
Meeting, Task, and Idea notes also suggest their natural output under the title, such as Check meeting decisions and follow-ups.

Translation

Open the note’s more menu and choose translate, then pick any of the 39 supported languages. The translation replaces the note text; switch back the same way. The full list is on the note language page.
