Mumble Note runs on iPhone with iOS 17 or later, and on Apple Watch alongside it. Everything is in one download.

Install and sign in

  1. Download Mumble Note on the App Store.
  2. Open it and sign in with Apple or Google. There is no email-and-password option, and no card is needed to start.
  3. Walk through the short tour. It ends with the plans page, which you can dismiss with the close button and come back to any time from Settings.
Apple and Google sign-in create two separate accounts. Pick one and keep using it; notes and subscriptions do not move between the two. Next time you open the app, the button you used last shows a Last used badge. More about accounts

Permissions

  • Microphone, asked the first time you record. Required.
  • Notifications, asked after your first notes. Optional, but useful for long recordings: Mumble tells you when the note is ready so you can put the phone away. Notifications
Both can be changed later in your iPhone’s Settings > Apps > Mumble Note.
