Mumble sends two kinds of notifications, and you choose each one separately under Settings > Notifications.

When a note is ready

After a long recording, the write-up can take a little while. With this on, Mumble notifies you the moment the note is finished, with its title, and tapping the notification opens it. You can lock the phone right after recording and come back when it pings.

To-do reminders

Once a day, Mumble sends one summary of what is due today and what is overdue from yesterday, for example 3 things due today with the first item as a preview. Tapping it opens your Today list. There is one digest per day, not one push per to-do.

Turning them on or off

  • All notifications is the master switch. The two kinds below it can be toggled on their own.
  • If iOS has not been asked yet, or you said no, a System notifications row appears at the top. Tap it to open your iPhone’s Settings and allow Mumble Note there.
Mumble asks for permission only after you have seen your first finished notes, and never more than twice.
