Names of people, companies, products, and jargon are the words a transcriber gets wrong most. Personal vocabulary fixes that: add the word once, and Mumble recognizes it from then on.

Add a word

  1. Open Settings > Personal Vocabulary.
  2. Tap Add.
  3. Enter the word or phrase exactly as it should be written.
  4. Optionally add context, for example “my colleague” or “our project name”. Context helps Mumble decide when you mean this word.
Tap a word to edit it, or swipe left to delete it.

Tips

  • Add proper nouns first: names, places, and brands.
  • One phrase per entry works better than a list in one entry.
  • The vocabulary applies to new recordings. Existing transcripts are not changed.
